Tatina cara! Scusa per il ritardo, ma sai che le feste qui si sono dilungate un po', e dopo l'Epifania, che tutte le feste si porta via, torneremo tutti alla normalità: lavoro, scuola, casa, spesa e...shopping!! Perchè sono già cominciati i saldi!!

Sai che proprio l'altro giorno pensavo a tutto quello che mi è successo lo scorso anno, e non posso certo dire di essermi annoiata!

Oltre alla passione rinnovata per la corsa, che ha portato a sempre migliori risultati, all'inizio di questo blog, che mi ha avvicinata a te più che mai, alla continua sperimentazione in cucina, che mi ha fatto imparare cose nuove e interessanti... Oltre a tutto questo aggiungerei l'estasiante esperienza del provino per quella trasmissione TV, insieme a due fantastici compagni di viaggio, Cristina e Alessio; il rientro alla scuola serale di inglese (a cui tu e Stu avete partecipato in qualità di lettori di dialoghi per le mie lezioni); la sorprendente sorpresa della neve marzolina che ci ha costretti in casa per un paio di giorni e sempre a marzo un matrimonio del tutto originale!

E le gite fuori porta, i viaggi, i semplici spostamenti, quelli che ci fanno uscire dalla quotidianità, che rendono la nostra vita veramente vissuta, che, come manuali, ci insegnano a comportarci, che, come libri, ci regalano preziose informazioni sulle culture e le lingue altrui, che, come atlanti, ci istruiscono sulla geografia, e come album fotografici ci regalano esperienze indimenticabili!
Se vogliamo vederla da questo punto di vista, ne ho "imparate" di cose quest'anno, a partire da gennaio, con i cinque giorni sulla neve con Ale

e il weekend a Poppi, con la visita allo zoo
Ma la vera "partenza" è stata verso l'Irlanda: una settimana con la mia famiglia, prima a Dublino e poi a visitare la costa opposta, Galway, le Cliffs of Moher e le isole Aran, una visione mozzafiato di una natura incontaminata!

Prima però non poteva mancare il nostro incontro con gli amici dell'università, quando, come già hai ricordato tu, sei venuta per la prima volta a casa mia.
In estate non potevano mancare altri giorni in montagna: avendo l'appartamento in Trentino, appena c'è l'occasione si parte immediatamente (e per l'occasione ho scritto il primo post, ricordi?), e abbiamo fatto delle belle passeggiate.
E le gite fuori porta alle cascate di Acquacheta, e a Savignano sul Panaro, a trovare il nostro amico Pat per partecipare alla caratteristica festa medievale!

E vogliamo parlare del Ferragosto alternativo passato arrampicandoci sugli alberi?
E in settembre le ferie "ufficiali", quelle che Ale prende ogni anno, e durante le quali approfittiamo anche per festeggiare il nostro anniversario, quest'anno a Monaco e in giro per la Baviera con la nostra macchina nuova!

Ma non è finita, perchè dopo che ci siamo ancora incontrati in settembre, sempre in Romagna, con tutti gli amici, e abbiamo ballato tutta la notte alla favolosa serata anni '80 (ricordi il motto? Giovani sempre!), sono partita alla volta di Manchester in novembre, ed è stata un'eperienza meravigliosa!

Insomma, un anno da ricordare anche il mio, e -perchè no?- da ripetere nel 2012, magari cambiando le mete ;-)
Ora vado a finire la lista dei buoni propositi, così te ne parlo la prossima volta!

But... before starting chatting about everything, I just want to wish you and Stu a wonderful 2012 and... since 2011 was not so bad, I wish you that this year will be the same, or even better!
Talking about the balance of 2011, I was thinking about mine a few days ago, and I can't absolutely say that it was boring!
Besides my renewed passion for running and cooking (being interested in both has allowed me to keep fit anyway!), I would add my first experience on TV, with an audition which made me meet two fantastic friends: Cristina and Alessio (and nothing more: you know we didn't pass!); the English school, where I'm working as a teacher (and you are involved in it thanks to your voices reading a few dilagues); the amazing surprise we had in March, with 50 cm of snow, and after that a super original pin-up wedding.
Then I must consider the travels, inside or outside Italy. Travels that make people exit from everyday life, and make life a REAL LIFE, that, like manuals, teach us how to behave, that, like books, give us precious infoes about other cultures and languages (or regional dialects), that, like atlas, inform us about geography and, like photoghraphic albums, offer to us unforgettable experiences!
So I can say that I learned a lot of things last year, starting from January, when I went to the mountains for five days with Ale, and then we went to Poppi, and visited even the local zoo!
But the real first trip was to Ireland: a whole week with my family, first in Dublin and then in Galway and the neighbouring: the Cliffs of Moher and the Aaran Islands, an amazing place where I felt like when I was in California, looking at the Grand Canyon (I really felt the power of nature)!
Before leaving, of course, we met for the first time at my place.
Neither Summer was boring: Ale and me went to the mountains again (it was the first post of this blog, remember?).
And we also went trekking to Acquacheta, and to Savignano sul Panaro, meeting Patrizio and enjoying a gorgeous medieval festival!
15th August: our adventure at "Indiana Park", a day spent climbing on the trees.
And finally the "official holyday", in September, when we usually go somewhere abroad, and spend our wedding anniversary day together: in 2011 we went to Munich and neighbouring, driving our brand new car!
...And... finally, after our meeting in September (so you visited my place twice this year, didn't you?), I flew to Manchester and really enjoyed our 5 days together!
So, what can I say? Wonderful 2011 for both of us! Let's hope that 2012 will be the same!
